Create a Cityscape Material using the Deep Texture Editor

This is a companion tutorial to the Bryce 7 Create a Cityscape Tutorial and shows how to make an suitable material for a cityscape terrain by adapting existing textures using the Deep Texture Editor (DTE).This tutorial takes an in depth look at using slope filtering to control where texture components are applied. Also how to scale and orientate textures in a given channel to suit the shape and size of the cityscape terrain.A variation of this method was used for the ruined city seen at the base of the mountain in the Bryce Lighting and Skys tutorial. The terrain may not stand up to close scrutiny on its own, but under the right conditions in a suitable environment, it offers an efficient and effective way of creating a convincing illusion of complexity.
