The influence control that allows objects to be either included or excluded from being lit by specific sources of light is an excellent addition to Bryce 7 Pro.   This seemingly simple feature gives the artist unparalleled control over the lighting environment and also opens up many opportunity to save render time by selective use of lighting.   For example, volumetric clouds, processor intensive to begin with, will slow the render process to a crawl if they are lit with Image Based Lighting, even at the lowest quality setting.   Selective exclusion allows the IBL to ignore the cloud slab object entirely, saving many hours of render time, while at the same time, still being there to fill in as ambient light on the landscape below.
