This tutorial shows how to make a multi channel, multi component metal material from scratch.   Curvature filtering is used to create patches of corrosion on the inner corners of the model and demonstrates the practical use of a texture placed channel C of the Material Lab as a filter for textures assigned to channel A and B.   The role of blend transparency is also explored with a quantized noise function in the D channel, demonstrating how to quickly invert a channel's alpha output to transpose the solid and transparent parts of the material.
